Contingency Management
Contingency Management
Contingency Management is a twelve-week behavioural therapy treatment program that uses positive reinforcement to promote abstinence from stimulant substances (crystal meth, crack and cocaine). Clients earn an increasing number of prize draws based on consecutive days of meeting the abstinence goal measured through twice a week urine screens. As long as the participant maintains compliance, their draws can increase to a maximum of eight draws per visit for the rest of the program. Prizes range anywhere from quotes, chocolate bars, wireless headphones to a laptop, tablet or 40″ television.
For external clients, a minimum of 30 days of treatment must be completed to be eligible.
